Searching for a job is never easy. There are multiple rounds of interviews after you get the much coveted call, which in itself is rare. Add to that the level of competition in any field, and you are bound to see broken dreams and shattered egos on the other side of the whole process. There is a need to conjure strength and mental fortitude to get back at it again until the goal has been achieved. There are a few ways one can alleviate the stress and give their pursuit of a fulfilling role more structure. Here are six ways how jobseekers can approach this to their benefit:

1. Forget about why you lost it or how you got here

Once you leave an organisation it is the start of a new beginning. Whether you were laid off or you left the organisation for any possible reason from a toxic culture to pursuing a passion, the thing that matters now is in the present and the future. If you don’t let go of why it happened or why you find yourself in such a circumstance right now, you will not be able to make the most of the time at the beginning of your job search. The first two weeks of your job search are crucial because you need to see some validation from the market about your worth otherwise you begin to question it.
